A total of 9 Singaporean small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are set to participate within the Singapore pavilion at Jewellery Arabia 2016 from 22 – 26 November at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Led by the Singapore Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (ASME), the pavilion is returning for the fourth consecutive year.
“ASME is delighted to be participating at Jewellery Arabia as it celebrates its 25th edition. The association is pleased to see steady growth in the number of exhibitors, national pavilions and show size year on year, as well as an increasing number of participants returning to join the Singapore pavilion,” said ASME Vice President, International Relations, V S Kumar.
“SMEs are very inclined to be part of the exhibition because they witness for themselves how Jewellery Arabia is an excellent platform for them to network and explore the Gulf market. From feedback we received from last year’s edition, Singapore exhibitors were able to meet over 300 business contacts and buyers,” he continued.
First time exhibitors are excited about taking part in Jewellery Arabia. Saagar Mehta, Director of Diastar Pte Ltd, a first-time participating company at the trade show, commented, “I believe Jewellery Arabia is a great platform for our brand to generate valuable business leads and raise awareness of our fine jewellery in the Middle East. Our aim is to showcase our exclusive collection of natural fancy colour jewellery to the Bahrain market.”
Returning exhibitors are also strongly supportive. Zen Zeng, Director of Royalking Jewellery Pte Ltd, a returning participating company, said, “Jewellery Arabia has always been a key trade show for us. From past experience, we had the opportunity to meet many new and existing clients to strengthen our business core. We will definitely continue to participate in future editions of the trade show under the Singapore pavilion.”
Highlighting the same sentiments, Anita Yip, Business Development Executive of Taka Jewellery Pte Ltd, a returning participating company, said, “Apart from regular customers at the event, we observed that there is a steady increase of new customers as well. We believe Jewellery Arabia is an excellent platform to boost Taka Jewellery’s brand awareness to the Middle East market, allowing us to showcase our curated jewellery designs at good prices.”
ASME is a champion of enterprise and strongly supports local SMEs in their efforts to internationalise. Shen Huizhen, ASME Manager, International Relations, said, “Jewellery Arabia is the best platform for Singapore’s jewellery manufacturers to reach out to clients in the Middle East, one of the fastest-growing economic regions.
